My new Lew's Acrylic call review
« Thread Started on Dec 12, 2004, 9:17pm »

Just got this thing in today. I think I can finally say I got a replacement for my Foiles call. Seriously this thing is nice. Has a real nice low end and can get loud when you need it.
Keith was blowing on the Foiles SMH and then the Lews as I was walking away and they both had the same loudness but the Lews has a nice deep tone to it.
The camo on it is very nice and the acrylic is very nice.
We worked alot of groups of cans this weekend and I just was in love with this call.
Beauty part is that I can buy 3 of these for the price of that Foiles SMH and its still all acrylic.
I would suggest this call to anyone.

Even has Ty engraved on it. NICE! ;D

I carried the Foiles Meat Grinder around my neck. Now I don't get out and chase the geese like many of you do. but I will say that with my Lew's Call I find if easier to blow and like Ty said there is a deeper sound to it. I have also found that it responds better for me and I am able to get a better blend of calls in my calling due to the ease of using it. Excellent call and better priced that the Meat Grinder also.

But mine doesn't say Ty on it.

I got to try the call that Ty got this weekend also. It is a excellent call, can do everything I want a call to do, can get real loud so that everything can hear it, yet get quiet to get the birds in your face. Plus the price is icing on the cake.

I have a couple of Lew's calls too. I'm not the best caller in the world, but know that the tone and sound quality is up there with the high end calls.
Wonder wjhen he's gonna start making elk calls & diaphrams?

played with the tuning of my call today. WOW. its even better! I can even tune it down enough to get a good snow goose sound out of it.

Who wants to buy my Foiles call? I think ill sell it and buy 3 more Lew's calls.

It even gets louder than my foiles. Its got a bigger bore.

IM SOLD!
